Humbly put, our name has soul. Literally.

Jiva is pronounced "JEE-VUH" and is a Sanskrit term for "life force" or "soul". Here's the relevance to FoodJiva.com: Food nourishes the body. Similarly, kindness and goodness nourish the soul (at least, we think so). FoodJiva.com addresses the combination of the physical need for food and the spiritual need for goodness.
